It’s ten years later and the sixties are coming to a close. Both Andy and Johnnie have earned their college degrees, but strangely, are still doing business as usual with Carmine in the old neighborhood.

Both cousins do what they can to survive in the changing environment. Each has goals of their own, and both do their best to keep Michael close - and safe.

Now in their late twenties, the Bronx cousins have established a growing empire for Carmine Capobianco, with an air of respectability. They have formed ‘Little Sticks of The Bronx Distribution Company’, giving the organization a hint of legitimacy.

As the plot proceeds, things start to unravel. Raids and busts are more frequent. It becomes obvious that someone ‘inside’ is not happy with how Carmine’s ventures are developing. But it’s not clear who.

Andy reflects on his situation, and starts to regret the life‘s choice – and why he made them. He starts to smell a rat. Johnnie stays close to Michael and keeps him protected, but his deteriorating condition is making him more and more unpredictable.

As the story climaxes, three people are dead, Little Sticks is in jeopardy, and associates – looking to move up – are at the top of Andy’s suspect list.

He figures out who double-crossed him and kept him trapped in the old neighborhood – and you won’t believe who it is.
